Much research has been done on how a lot of rock music agitates the human nervous system. You may perhaps have heard of the research test where scientists played hard rock to plants for hours. The plants eventually turned away from the speakers. When the scientists played classical music to the plants, they turned to face the sound, evidently getting strength from in.

An experiment was conducted that included three groups of preschoolers: one group received private piano/keyboard lessons and singing lessons; a second group received private computer lessons; and a third group received no training. Those children who received piano/keyboard training performed 34% higher on tests measuring spatial- temporal ability than the others. These findings indicate that music uniquely enhances higher brain functions required for mathematics, chess, science and engineering (Neurological Research, February 1997).

There have been many findings that demonstrate the positive effects classical music have on our brains and bodies. Listening to classical music is a great way to passively sooth and relax ourselves. Switch from modern music to classical music and both your brain and body will thank you!
