Recently I picked up a Plain Dealer and smiled from ear to ear when I got to the Sunday Arts section. The Arts section through reporter jsoeder@plaind.com did a great job on showing young Cleveland artists in a positive light.

It's important that I write this because I'm a critic of anyone that complains and doesn't give back, and I would be a hypocrite if I didn't thank the Plain Dealer's reporter for doing a tremendous job.

I was inspired to say the least. In 2001 I hunted down Steven Sharp of The City News to give Cleveland artists exposure.

When companies like the Plain Dealer take time to recognize and report on 3 young musical entrepreneurs it makes a statement, A powerful one.

If you're an editor or reporter go to the darkest neighborhood, and I promise you you'll find a light surrounded by that darkness trying its best to shine.
